Jennifer has over 18 years of experience as an accounting professional whose areas of expertise include financial operations, financial and strategic planning, budget development and management. Her passion for accounting can be traced back to her pre-professional days. Throughout her high school years, she worked as an accounting assistant for her parents painting and remodeling business. Although she does not bring any experience or background working for a design landscape company particularly, she is confident that her accounting experience has provided her with broad expertise in the application of computerized accounting processes and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Jennifer also brings with her, extensive hands-on experience in management and business leadership. Jennifer attends yearly team building and leadership seminars, as well as time and stress management seminars. She believes that creating, building, and keeping a successful workplace team comes from having strong, positive, and successful leadership. As a mother of a 20-year-old son that she raised on her own for 15 of those years, she sincerely respects and understands the definition of leadership and success.
Jennifer enjoys spending most of her time with her son Dylan and has a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Jennifer is thrilled and proud to be a part of the Hogue Landscape Services team and encourages you to contact her should you have any accounting questions and/or concerns.

Carl Walsh is the Project Director for Hogue Landscape Services, bringing with him a wealth of
knowledge and experience to the HLS family. Growing up in Michigan, Carl started out mowing
lawns during warm seasons. His passion for Landscape Architecture and Horticulture came from
helping his neighbor, Mrs. Landes, who was head of the Garden Club of Michigan for ten years.
The experience he had gained from helping her tend to her gardens is what ultimately fueled his
passion to pursue a lifelong career in landscaping. After graduating with a degree in Horticulture
in the fall of 1980 from Michigan State University, he moved to Houston, Texas and worked for
some prominent design-build firms in landscape construction. In 1987, he opened up his own
business in commercial maintenance, taking care of IBM, part of the Astrodome, the
administration building for HISD, and other properties. In 1991, he sold his business and moved
to Chicago, Illinois to be close to family. Over the next twenty-six years he honed his skills in
residential maintenance and design-build, working for various high-end design-build firms from
Northshore to Long Grove to Barrington, Illinois. In January of 2019, Carl decided to move back
to Houston, Texas. Since being back, he has enjoyed seeing old friends in the industry, making
new ones, and teaching new ones in the industry. Besides landscape work, Carl enjoys helping
the community and looks forward to soon becoming a Houston Rotarian again after joining
Rotary back in 1984 and over the last thirty-four years has been a Rotarian. Helping a Lions Club
is also something he looks forward to doing since joining one in 2009 when he lived in
Barrington, Illinois. In the future, Carl hopes to return to TNLA because he was a past president
of the TALC in 1987, and on the State Board for two years. When Carl isn’t volunteering or
working, he enjoys going to Antique, Classic & Muscle Car Shows.
