A closer look
Beautiful landscapes deserve attentive care.
Your landscape has made it through another Houston summer. Fall is a good time to look at how your lawn, trees and shrubs are doing.
Hogue’s Plant Health Care team evaluates visible symptoms and site conditions, then recommends care based on what your property needs. That may include pest management, plant nutrition, lawn disease assessment or seasonal watering guidance.
Something looks off? Discolored leaves, thinning plants, lawn patches and recurring fire ant mounds are all worth a closer look.

Questions about Plant Health Care?
What is Plant Health Care?
Plant Health Care, or PHC, is a focused approach to assessing and caring for the health of your landscape. Recommendations depend on the plants, symptoms and growing conditions on your property.
Is every brown patch in my lawn a disease?
No. Similar symptoms can have different causes. An evaluation helps determine whether disease, watering, pests or another condition may be involved.
How is PHC different from root zone fertilization?
Root Zone Fertilization addresses nutrient needs around the roots of trees and shrubs. PHC considers a broader range of concerns, including pests, disease and site conditions. Fertilization may be part of a recommendation when appropriate.
Will every property need the same treatment?
No. Treatment recommendations vary with plant species, health and site conditions. We recommend care based on what we find.
